AFLRATINGS NEWS: Fremantle midfielder Hayden Young was assessed for a groin concern on Saturday against GWS.
Young came from the ground in Q3 and did not return to the game.

Fremantle confirmed a groin issue throughout the game.
Young has undergone further assessment to determine the severity of the injury, Justin Longmuir provided a positive update on Monday saying that scans have returned good news (via Fox).

Longmuir added that Young will be “pushing it for this week” to be available for Round 18 due to a short turnaround on a 5-day break.
If Young misses this week he could be available for Round 19 Longmuir further added.
Fremantle will likely provide an update in the upcoming period.

Young averaged 18.3 disposals, 3.8 marks and 3.3 tackles prior to Round 17 (AF PPM: 1.07).
