Butters was assisted from the ground in Q3 and did not return to the game.

Port Adelaide confirmed an ankle injury throughout the game.
Senior coach Josh Carr said following the game “it didn’t look great”.
Butters has undergone further assessment to determine the severity of the injury, he has been diagnosed with a high-grade syndesmosis injury.

He will undergo surgery this week and is expected to miss at least 4 weeks.
A specific timeline for a return will become clearer following surgery.
