AFLRATINGS NEWS: Fremantle midfielder Jaeger O’Meara was assessed for a left ankle concern in Q3 on Saturday against Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval.
O’Meara came from the ground in Q3 and did not return to the game.

Fremantle confirmed an ankle injury throughout the game.
O’Meara has undergone further assessment to determine the severity of the concern, he has been diagnosed with a syndesmosis injury.
Senior coach Justin Longmuir confirmed on Tuesday that at this stage he won’t require surgery.
Longmuir added that O’Meara is expected to miss the short to medium term.
Fremantle will likely provide an update in the upcoming period.

O’Meara averaged 15.8 disposals, 3.0 marks and 2.8 tackles prior to Round 19 (AF PPM: 0.80).
