Nakia Cockatoo has suffered another injury set back at training today after failing to complete a team session, multiple reports indicate he suffered a calf injury.
The 2018 season for Cockatoo was heavily impacted by hamstring injuries managing just just 2 games, it is expected he won’t return to full training until early January.
Cockatoo has been severely restricted by injury since being drafted by the Cats in 2014, he has played in only 31.9% of games since the start of the 2016 H&A season.
AFL FANTASY TAKE
Cockatoo isn’t considered a season long or draft fantasy option, he has a career average 9.6 Disposals & 49.2pts.
At a minimum if the injury issues for Cockatoo don’t clear up his absence would provide an opportunity for another Geelong player. There is always a positive.
