Injury Update: Dylan Roberton

St Kilda defender Dylan Roberton has made the decision to step aside from football in 2019 due to a heart condition, he suffered a ‘period of irregularity’ following the JLT Series game on Sunday.

Roberton missed most the 2018 season, he collapsed during the Round 4 game against Geelong at GMHBA Stadium.

“Robbo is an incredibly selfless player, and nothing speaks more to that than his want to continue to play on and contribute to our group. Unfortunately, that’s not going to happen this year”

“The club, our medical staff, coaches and the players will support him through this period and with whatever comes in the future.” St Kilda Head Coach, Alan Richardson.

The Saints recently signed Jonathon Marsh via SSP & Sam Rowe is likely on the way, Marsh would be an intriguing bench option to start season long fantasy but it must be remembered he has not undergone a full AFL pre-season which could be a concern.

Marsh averaged 58.0pts from 10 games in his final season at Collingwood in 2016, he has a career high 81pts and a career average of 50.4pts from 15 games.

Shane Savage & Jimmy Webster could see a bump in average, they recorded the highest kick-in percentage at the Saints last season.
